Anyone have info to debunk Raines connection to Obama
I tried googling but of course all that comes up is anti Obama stuff because this is something the republicans are trying to spin. I'm talking with someone who doesn't seem at all impressed with McCain or the republican party now because this person is a fiscal conservative and not part of the "Religious Right". So she is of course upset about the economy (bailout etc)

I need to debunk the Franklin Raines connection to Obama

and doesn't McCain have tons of ties to Freddie/Fannie? I was surprised he was saying stuff about this in the debate last night. I thought he had more ties to Freddie/Fannie than Obama did by far!

1. How do you prove a negative?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franklin_Raines

On September 18, 2008, John McCain's Campaign, published a campaign ad that quoted the Washington Post's claim that Franklin Raines advises Barack Obama on economic matters. The ad also notes that "Raines made millions and then left Fannie Mae while it was under investigation for accounting irregularities".<21> Both Raines and the Obama Campaign claim that Raines is not an Obama advisor and has never advised Senator Obama. <22>

4. thanks one more question
What did Obama say he would make Warren Buffet last night? Secretary of Treasury? I know another republican who worships Warren Buffet.

Now McCain has had Phil Gramm advising him economically right? And Phil Gramm is who pushed for deregulation...

6. No..John McCain said he ..
John McCain said he thought Warren Buffet or Meg Whitman would make a good Secretary of State. Neither of them said who they would choose. And here's a good article on McCain's best bud "Nation of Whiners" Gramm

5. Be sure she knows about Phl Gramm as McLiar's chief adviser.
He's the one who has pushed McLiar to deregulate, even after Johnny's close call from his first push to deregulate banking for his dear friend Keating.

Phil Gramm -- who said we were a nation of whiners for complaining about our economic circumstances.
Who said the recession was just psychological. (Maybe going on the technicality that we need two quarters of negative growth to equal a recession.)
