If the polls were close come election day, the RW could argue, hey, the polls were wrong, go figure, electronic voting is just fine, try again in 2012.

Now that the spreads are growing, including in formerly solidly red states, what happens if the vote tips in favor of McPalin? I suppose one could argue that polls are far from reliable predictors, etc., but how would the voting machine mfrs and RW explain away a shift from 51-39 Obama to 51-49 McCain? What happens? Anyone?

They ignored the stolen election by the Dancing Supremes in 2000 and the amazing disparity between exit polls and the vote count in 2004. If the corporations that control the mass market media pretend there was no election fraud, then so will Americans.
