McCain camp now going to bring up Columbia Prof. Rashid Khalidi and tie him to Obama
Responding to reports that Sen. McCain's associations are considered fair game by Democrats, Republican strategists affiliated with the McCain campaign say they plan to highlight Obama's alleged contacts with individuals who they say have been linked to terrorist organizations, including controversial Columbia Prof. Rashid Khalidi, accused without real evidence of being a former PLO spokesperson and Ali Abunimah, a member of the Arab American Action Network who received a grant from the Woods Fund approved by Wm. Ayers, Obama and Khalidi. Khalidi and his wife held a fundraiser for Obama in 2000.

One strategist said: "Obama needs to understand he will own his friendships with individuals that are in some cases anti-American, anti-Semitic and pro-terrorist. The American people can decide whether Obama's buddies reflect their values."

1. Nobody will care
Honestly, bringing up a Columbia professor? People are tired of this shit. Everyone who bought into the whole "Obama is a scary foreigner" thing was going to vote for McCain anyway. The economy is collapsing and McCain will look like a fool if he brings up this crap.

3. so, Meghan McCain went to Columbia...
Why would John McCain let his daughter go to a school that had a TERRORIST SYMPATHIZER (being sarcastic here obviously)teach? I bet she even had some friends who took his classes.

ps: Jews for Jesus, McCain camp. Jews for Jesus.

7. Why should Obama "own" these
friendships? The ownership society won't own bush's failures.

What's more pertinent to our country at this time?

9. Wow-- Rashid Khalidi. A well respected scholar of international reputation. Vetted by so many
and yet he's now a liability to some?

It is time that some groups in this country get their collective head out of their ass.

Khalidi is a professor.

End of story.

Obama should have no problems with this.
