That's pretty unprecedented. Usually they distance themselves and have the 527's do it. But Sarah Palin is going around shooting her mouth off essentially calling Obama a terrorist. That ain't gonna go over well.

There's a whole lot of other reasons why these vicious attacks will fail.

1. The best thing is to cast this as "2+2=5" desperation to avoid discussing the economy

and then WE should just keep discussing the economy. We should create our own news just like they are trying to create there's. Obama's in the lead now, he has the focus on him, he has greater power to steer the conversation in HIS favor than we've had in quite some time, and I think he'll take advantage of it, to pivot back to teh issues

3. I suspect the reason that her attacks are not working is because the MSM

is saying they have no merit

Something which the MSM did not do for Kerry when he was swift boated

In fact with Kerry they actually helped propagate the lies

I don't think the MSM is doing this because they are trying to be fair, but because mccain essentially declared war on the MSM, and allowed only limited access to palin, that made them angry
