Anyone know the rules for the next presidential debate?
Specifically, I'm wondering how Brokaw will be choosing the questions. It seems like the McCain campaign has done a good job of putting some pressure on the moderators in my opinion, including Brokaw. Will Brokaw know the questions that the people in the townhall will be asking in advance?

2. Hehe, what are those?
:hi:

I'm thinking that the McCain campaign has effectively lobbied Brokaw to find a way to talk about past associations of the two candidates. Brokaw will ruin his legacy if he does something like that, especially with the Wall Street crisis bill just being voted on yesterday.

3. Here's what the campaigns agreed to:
The second debate, moderated by NBC’s Tom Brokaw, will be held October 7 at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. The format will be town-hall style; all questions will come from members of the audience or queries sent in over the Internet.

The Presidential Debate Commission said earlier this month that Gallup will choose undecided voters from in or around the Nashville, Tennessee area to participate in the town hall, and Brokaw will review each question before it is posed to avoid duplication.

5. Dang..
I am sure there are many of us who would like to submit questions. So do I understand that they will NOT be accepting questions from the internet then?

7. It's a town hall in Tennessee
That's about as anti-Obama as it gets. I'm calling BS on that town hall being filled with "undecideds". This is a Gibson-Stephanopoulus debate in the making.
