Palin lost because her answers sounded like Bush

If this had been eight or even four years ago, Palin would have perhaps tied Biden, but lines like "Waving the white flag" sound too much like Bush and towing the Bush line on how to deal with Iran and North Korea as well as having no answer on how to deal with the the market crash are what really hurt her. A lot of her talking points sounded like they came out of Bush's mouth and that is deadly in this election. The country is looking for someone as far away from Bush as possible and Palin made Americans see deja vu and they did not like it at all.

I think she hurt McCain badly tonight. She shored up the base but did major damage with independents who hate Bush.

1. I also think people are tired of folksy.
Not the base, of course, but most people, after 8 years of boosh, have got to wonder if folksy isn't covering up dumb & incompetent. We've had that & look where it's gotten us.

4. She did better than expected...unfortunately, that's not saying much
She now has proven herself...that she too can sound just like George and Dick, empty, bankrupt trite phrases and old broken ideas and all.
