She didn't need a wireless. She just uses the cards like she always has at her debates in Alaska. You can carry more info on 3x5 cards than you can get from IFB, and she prepares them herself so she knows where to look for the talking point she needs. She's not as thick-headed as Bush. She's been through this game before.

and she was undoing it. Took it out of her jacket. It was a black/silver oblong box. I was thinking it was a lapel mike.

Did you see her look out to the audience, catch someone's eye, smile and nod to the affirmative, like someone was communicating to her. It wasn't a "I'm doing good, I can handle this" type of nod. It was more of an "Ok, yes" nod.
