Congrats Biden! You KILLED it!

I am a huge Biden fan. Knew he was a great debater and great on the stump but he REALLY impressed me. He was sharp, crisp, and on full-out offense. He swatted down the lies, swatted down the clutter, and pushed the Obama/Biden message in full blast.

Congrats Joe! You did a helluva job!

7. I was expecting more out of him, but I will say I was so glad that

he shot down that McCain is a maverick bullcrap. Thank you Joe for that. He did great job on that point and I loved how Palin didn't get to say anything after Joe hammered away on McCain not being a maverick when it comes to kitchen table issues. For me that was his best part and worth everything. If anyone was playing a drinking game.. and taking shots whenever she said maverick probably has alcohol poisoning now

He may not have went and attacked her as hard as some may have liked but he was still in attack mode and didn't give the RNC or MSM any ammo to trot out Ferraro and decry sexism et al

12. I believe I have underestimated Joe Biden

I've never made any secret of my problems with him (bankruptcy bill, rave act), and he seemed kind of sleepy at first, but he built slowly and was very effective. I was impressed. He's a very good speaker, even if he wasn't exactly on fire. From his own words it sounds like he clamped down on his passion a bit. He needs to loosen up a little. I can tell there's passion there, as well as intelligence and ambition. He has a spark.

That moment where he choked up caught me off guard. I think it genuinely caught him off guard, too.

I think I'm liking him a little bit, which annoys me. I want to be emotionally neutral about these guys. I will not bond with national politicians. It's a stupid thing to do, and I got burned with Clinton. But I liked him, I can't deny it.

As for Palin: what a smooth liar she's turned out to be! She reeled off the McCain camp lies like a seasoned pro. I was surprised how slick she was. I believe she overdid it a bit. She sounded like the proverbial pull-string doll with her automatic talking points. Joe talks about his family tragedy and she immediately launched into "maverick family guy war hero." It was tone-deaf and somewhat callous.

She reminds me of Ari Fleischer, the "flack from hell." With time and practice, she could be right up there with Baghdad Bob. She scares me.

14. She is a lying press secretary running for VP yes. She'll spout whatever lies are put in front of

her. I guess that is what she meant by reading anything and everything that people bring her.

Biden though did an amazing job imo. So sharp so to the point and factually superior. He came across as someone who knows what he's talking about and that you'd want leading the country. Palin was busy winking and avoiding questions.
