The VP Debate is the most over hyped event since Y2K
Edited on Wed Oct-01-08 09:51 PM by Hokie
The MSM is hyping up this debate as if the entire election depended upon whether Palin displays an IQ above 25. I predict it will be forgotten as soon as the 2nd presidential debate happens next week. I think Biden will win obviously but the media will spin it mostly for Palin unless she is as embarrassing as Stockdale in 1992. VP debates have never mattered and never will. Obama is not winning because people are figuring out Palin. Obama is winning because people are figuring out who Obama is and who McCain is. The contrast over the last two weeks in their leadership styles has provided the previously disinterested voters with something they can use to make up their minds. McCain has been impulsive, angry, sulking, and just looks like a loser. Obama has remained calm and on message.

1. I agree with this. Its more about McTroll's judgement on Sarah then who "wins" the debate
She has the bar set so low for her as well that its almost like she can't "lose", the media will look like its beating up on her. But the people at home make the call as who will win and they went overwhelmingly with Obama vs. McTroll.

7. (shrug) The lowercase didn't catch with you in the OP...
I therefore had no reason to believe they would catch with you in my post.

8. Hey, I actually kinda liked Stockdale
you know, kinda like that great uncle who used to drink too much at Thanksgiving and would dotter all about the house, take a nap in den and wake up and forget where he was? Stockdale came off as that guy. Palin might just offer up the same entertainment tomorrow night. Over-hyped as far as educational value? You bet. Entertainment value? No, could be memorable, lines to live in infamy, like, Who am I and why am I here.
