The few people I knew who were "wowed" by her when she was announced and who gloated that she'd win the White House for McCain got suddenly very quiet about her about a week or so ago and now they categorically refuse to even discuss her.

They know how dismal of a candidate she is, how embarrassing she is. I did hear one guy I work with admit that Palin is "like a 5 ton albatross around McCain's neck."

He seems to think McCain would just do great if it weren't for her and I obviously disagree, but still...I love that they all think she's such dead weight now and it's almost completely due to those interviews with Couric.
