1. I can't believe it's not being shown on CNN (nor Faux) since this is his first campaign event for
Obama! They spend enough time talking about how lukewarm his support is for Obama. :eyes:

13. Who cares Fox and CNN are not carrying it
No one watched cable news during the day. The point is this evening, during prime time, clips of this will be all over the news. Tomorrow newspapers will carry some of the reviews.

5. He is laying it out clearly
Makes is real easy to understand, he has the ability to break the issue down so everyone understands the implications without coming across as being too simple.

21. show me where ANY former president has supported their party's nominee with more zeal
. . . than Bill Clinton has supported Barack Obama. I don't believe you can.

25. yes, teacher.
Bush's endorsement of McCain only helps Obama, unlike Clinton's. I'm sorry that your hero hasn't been helping us much, but apparently is today. I think the public backlash, combined with the widening of the polls may be the catalyst. He wouldn't want to be on wrong side of history now would he? In any event, I am very happy, so let's just be happy today, k? Peace. :)

26. I thought the argument against Bill Clinton's remarks was that he wanted McCain to win
I'm glad you're happy.

8. It is a barnburner!!
He isn't talking up Obama personally much - but he's doing exactly what we need for today, explaining this financial and economic mess and why we need to take the steps we're taking, and that Obama will continue to fight for homeowners and a bottom up economy.

12. Exactly! Talking up the
Democratic policies and strengths will help all Democratic candidates--great job, Bill! Loved the comment about the v-p.

24. Explaining things is something he's always been good at. He can pick
out and present the main points of an argument in a clear and precise manner that allows me to understand the issue without feeling like I've been "talked down to".

11. Thank you, Bill, for saying this bill doesn't do enough for those struggling to stay in their homes-
and that Barack Obama will do something about that when he is elected president. He mentioned Hillary's idea of creating an agency like the RTC to help folks refinance their mortgages--called HOLC, in this case.

15. He was FANTASTIC
I haven't heard anybody explain the implications of the current economic crisis the way he just did. If you listened to that speech and you're still voting McCain/Palin, it's because you're an f'n moron.

GO BILL!!!!!!

19. In addition to MSNBC was also on C-SPAN.
MSNBC interrupted the last couple of minutes, e.g., switched to C-SPAN.

Clinton's praise was for the "team" not necessarily just for Obama. Not criticizing, thought that was a great approach. Built up Biden, Obama's economic advisor's, et al.

To those who will say, and they will, that he wasn't strong enough for Obama...I say BS.

In short, I'd give him an "A" for the day. Could help bolster the numbers in Florida and elsewhere.

It's all about timing leading up to November 4th. Obama's team is precise...well planned.
