18. I have the sound down and just watching him---he's a beaten guy
it seems. Almost disinterested?

3. It's all catching up with him
He's old, he has health issues, he's been following a grueling schedule, his running mate is a nitwit, the polls are against him--it's all taking its toll.

5. He's looking at internal polls that are crashing.
Maybe he's realizing how many mistakes he's made in this campaign. Underestimating Obama, for starters.

27. I'd be depressed if I was McCain when you see the contrast between his and Palin's crowds
He only draws crowds when Palin is with him. If he stumps alone he barely pulls anyone while Palin (for whatever reason) pulls a mob whenever she appears somewhere.

For the titular head of the ticket to be overshadowed by a nitwit who he probably had forced on him by the party has to be an gigantic punch in the nether region for someone with McCain's ego.

If this was the McCain from 2000 I'd probably feel sorry for him. For the sellout who flip-flopped on every issue that may have made him a viable candidate to moderate voters I feel nothing.

31. Airheads attract Airheads
How smart can working class Republicans be when they cooperate in their own destruction. Duh, Unions are bad for us. I have to pay $5.00 a month dues and I only got a $4.00 per hour raise. Outsourcing is great. I made over $100.00 dismantling the machinery and packaging it for shipment at our plant.

26. Just the fact that he has to be in MO is good news to me
Obama has him running across the map trying to patch holes in places where no Republican has had to give much effort in a long time.
