7. She Can Debate!

In an environment where she is comfortable, with subject matter that she has a grasp of, and against opponents who the majority of the people of Alaska were tired of.

There's a big difference between local and national debates, especially when you don't really know the subject matter very well.

So, instead of doing the Chicken Little the Sky is Falling dance, let's wait and watch how this debate goes.

8. I don't understand why you freak out because she can debate. Have you stopped to think about who

she is going up against? Biden can debate and he too can debate very dammed well. Nobody has ever really thought of her as not being able to debate but about her lack of knowledge of the issues. You can be a very dammed good debater but you have to have a grasp of the issues.

Tomorrow night she will not be allowed any life lines or be able to phone a friend or will not be allowed to get back to the moderator on it. She will have to explain herself at that moment. Ask yourself if you think Biden can handle that.

Never underestimate the power of a manipulative bitch who has managed to skate through life on a combination of slightly-better-than-average attractiveness, snarky one-liners and intimidation.

If Palin does anything other than have a complete, drooling meltdown, she will come off OK. She will be able to deliver enough glib, sound bites that will get played over and over and will be spun to make her seem sharp and semi-clever.

She's the proverbial little fish. As long as she's not in too big of a pond (i.e., in a one-on-one debate), she'll hang to survival, maybe even thrive. Put that little fishie in D.C.,or heaven forbid on the worldwide stage, and she'll get eaten alive.

11. I like that article and video because it should can and should raise expectations. BUT,

in those debates, she was comfortable with her handful of Alaskan issues and most likely considered her environment open to her and even friendly. This is a whole new ballgame. She's not comfortable with the issues, she's been told the evil media is out to get her, and Biden will eat her for lunch. Plus, we all now have the context of her really rocky start and the knowledge that she ducks questions because she is uninformed. So, not only do I think she is rattled, but the world in watching through a different lens than average Alaskan voters.
