If Biden gets the question "Is Sarah Palin qualified enough?"
He should avoid the question in first person and mention David Frum, David Brooks, Kathleen Parker and George Will, leading conseravtive commentators, are writing and talking that Palin is not qualified and should be removed from the campaign. That way it is documented in writing and video versus himself making any "attacks" against her.

4. BINGO!
He might frame it a bit differently.

"That's not my decision to make. That's a decision for the American people to make collectively on November 4th."

10. Agree, but there are other things he can add
I agree he should not issue his own judgment, but he can certainly take the opportunity to spell out the consequences of the choice. The very best news is that Joe doesn't need our advice. He will nail this question without our help. But if he were asking for ideas, I'd say something like:

"That's not for me to decide. That's for the American people to decide. That's what elections are all about. The American people in their collective wisdom have to make this choice. This is an historic election. It is obvious to just about everybody now that we have gotten on the wrong track. We have two wars underway, with threats of more and more wars ahead. Just 8 years ago we had a vibrant economy with a large surplus. Now we maintain our lifestyles largely through the infusion of money from China and Saudi Arabia, and we are now reaching the breaking point of that ride. A few weeks ago, Governor Palin asked, jokingly I assume, just what does the Vice President do. Well, the most important thing is that the Vice President must have the same wisdom, character, experience, and skills as the President because the Vice President is literally only one heartbeat away from having to lead this nation and the free world. That is an awesome responsibility, and none of us can ever be fully prepared for it. I believe Americans are coming to understand the consequences, and I trust their judgment."

11. Joe: "She's definitely qualified ... to gut a moose;
to shoot a wolf from the air;
or to use her political power to avenge enemies and enrich herself;

BUT to be Chief Executive of the greatest Nation on the Earth;

and assume the immense Responsibility of setting this Nation on its best path;

I would have to say, respectfully, NO, she is NOT qualified.

Edited on Wed Oct-01-08 09:44 AM by GarbagemanLB
She will bring up Hillary Clinton and her comments during the primary and go after Obama if Biden does answer yes to that question.

15. "If you think George Bush was qualified to be president..."
you'd be a hypocrite to think Sarah Palin isn't.
