sitting with their running mate in an interview like this, and answering for them?

Just shows (to me anyhow) how little comfort they have in Ms. Palin's ability to perform in the spotlight.

Seriously, she was elected governor of Alaska so I presume (perhaps incorrectly) there is a level of competence there. Why don't they take her off the leash and let her get her feet wet... especially before she debates Sen. Biden? It's like "up is down" with those clowns running the campaign.

That was a comment from a conservative blogger (Rod Dreher, who a couple of weeks ago was as starry-eyed about Palin as it's possible to get).
