Rahm Emanuel playing hardball politics with the financial meltdown
Edited on Sun Sep-28-08 07:45 PM by Sugarcoated
Playing a little politics, smart. "We're getting to the bottom of how this whole financial crises started". Let's play hardball.

1. Give Bush billions first. Ask questions later...
...isn't the best approach.

3. I'm not speaking to that
But one thing that has to be done is bring home in neon lights that McFool and his buddy Phil Graham are ground zero of this mess. You know the Repubs are furiously planning how to spin this to their advantage and how best to unload mercilessly on the Dems . . . and to present McCain as the hero. We've got the power in congress, fucking use it.

4. We'll find out this week if Democrats insist that McCain...
...and Congress members in close elections vote Yes before Democrats vote Yes.

I'm in Minnesota. Al Franken is running here against Senator Norm Coleman (R-MN). I want Harry Reid to insist that Coleman votes for this terrible bill before any Democrats do.

6. Do you know something we don't?
All the polls have it too close to call - which is bad enough for an incumbant, but not a sure thing for Franken.

7. No, just a gut feeling
I think he'll pull it out in the end. MN's strike me as good common sense people and Al is a native.

2. The Dems should get to the bottom of it.
They are sure to find puke rats.
