They may be stupid but they can't be stupid enough to put her up on stage and expect it to do anything but lock in a loss for McCain.
I can't see it happening the way it's planned.

Oh what will they do? Oh worra worra worra.

Maybe:

"Sarah Palin is a little under the weather this evening so Elizabeth Hasselbeck has kindly offered to stand in for her."

5. Rudy provided their post debate commentary at one of the networks last night, so,
maybe Rudy?

Oh, my, Biden vs "A noun, a verb & 9-11" would be every bit as entertaining as Palin. }(

16. Um, no
If the water comes further up the shore, the distance between Alaska and Russia is greater, right? (Putting aside the national boundaries out in the ocean, which make the sea level irrelevant.)

She'll be there, but she won't have anything useful to say.

She'll be there, in one form or another.

and they will stay consistent with their hail Mary strategy. They figure they have nothing to lose.

I have posted before that the night Pelosi gaveled the DNC convention to adjournment, the repuke party died. All of their dire predictions of a DNC meltdown, fights on the floor, and riots in the streets did not materialize. And the DNC was even able to reproduce a "small convention center atmosphere" in a huge stadium with 84,000 spectators, complete with confetti and fireworks. Once the dust settled, the repukes arose as un-dead zombies and threw the hail Mary with Mooselini. And ironically, they found that she energized a narrow core of their coalition - essentially those who worship lunatic fringe RW hate talk radio and who worship freaky cultish allegedly Christian doctrine (and they expected that their more traditional base would rally around whoever was picked, no matter who). So the assumption is that if they do win, the gamble was worth it, and if they don't win, then they were dead already after the hand that they were given had nothing worthwhile in it.

What she will do - which seems to be the type of thing that energizes her base, the shock jock lunatic fringe RW talk hosts, and the freepers, is go on the mean and nasty attack. She will do what McLame did last night but even worse. She will be insulting, condescending, and arrogant, and will repeat her stock lies and dare anyone to correct her. That way she'll appear to be "tough". She will be the pitbull of idiocy in a strategy designed to try to force Biden on the defensive and to make him overreact. Of course, Biden has been around a long time but I expect to see a repeat of her sneering performance at the RNC. She won't have to demonstrate any knowledge of anything as long as she becomes the "good shows-woman". This could be why she has lowered expectations as the dizzy Caribou Barbie in order to explode into the negative.

How the indies and uncommitteds view this will be another thing altogether, but her same base will love it and we will despise it.

14. The expectations for her are so low
that it's very possible, if she speaks coherently, she will exceed expectations and be hailed the winner of the debate by the cable news punditry.
