As sure as the bear shits in the woods, Palin is gonna try to trick Joe Biden into a sexist remark
Joe has been known to be of the flirtatious type, so let's hope he's extra careful not to make any type of remark about Palin's looks or her clothes, or anything else along those lines. Republicans are banking that Joe will fall prey to sexism, and Palin will be programmed to set him up with the bait. You can bet your life that right now the Rovian fuckers have a TV ad all ready to go that points out Biden's sexist gaffe, only they just haven't filled in the blank statement yet.

Please be on your toes, Joe, and don't let it happen!!

2. The VP "debate"...
is going to be a Q&A with two minute answers and no interaction between the candidates.

4. It doesn't matter what Joe says, they will accuse him of sexism anyway.
It's all they have.

9. Aint that the truth, which makes me wonder, should he shake hands or hug her
when he greets her before and after the debate? I hope he shakes and only with one hand, none of that placing his left hand over the top of hers. Let her make the first move, too, in regards to whether it's a shake or a hug. If she goes to hug him, he should run for the nearest exit!

11. As the bard once said, 'the pen is mightier!' Did you hear? He said PENIS!!
If it's dishonest, McCain will try it. Every day, they trot out Nancy Poofarten, to claim that whatever legitimate criticism there is of Sarah Palin that day, is sexism!

19. Yup! If they accuse Tina Fey and Amy of being sexist
they'll accuse anyone of it.

or as the Jedi call it, a mind trick.

I remember her using it against Katie Couric and Charlie Gibson

13. He should practice calling her GOVERNOR Palin, and not call her Sarah.
He should stick to showing his knowledge of world matters, not challenging hers.

He should allow the moderator to do all the cross examination. He should stick to selling his point of view, as if that is all he has to do. He does not need to attack Palin. He should keep his attacks to McCain and Bush.

15. All good advice
While we'd all love to see him paste her but good, you're right...they'll portray it as bullying or sexism. For sure he should call her Governor and not Sarah, like you say.

16. I bet the Obama camp doesn't feel like they have to attack Palin
because she attacks herself. She will dig herself into holes. All Biden has to do is come off as knowledgeable. But I do think they will try to dissect anything that could possibly be misconstrued as sexism

18. She cannot talk two minutes without sounding stupid.
All we need is for her to have questions that require her to process information and pull an answer from somewhere other than her talking points.

As in:

"Governor Palin, you've said that you have international experience because Alaska shares a border with Russia. Please describe your contacts with the government of Russia."

Im sure they have McPalin's cries of unfairness front and center in their coaching...

Excuse the term "debate people"...i'm having a brain lapse for the "official term"! :)

20. Definitely, I said it yesterday, Biden needs to be very careful not to come off like McCain did
McCain came off as condensing with how often he scolded Obama "he doesn't understand" in his angry tone.

The GOP will make it much worse then we ever could for someone treating Obama that way, they'll paint it as men who are used to only men knowing all their careers who think women in their field must be stupid (sort of like technology careers, the fact is men can get away with it more often then women if they do something that makes them look incompetent).

21. Of course he and the Obama campaign are aware of this
I am more and more impressed by the day at the low drama, high strategy, stick to the planness of the Obama campaign.
I think there is little doubt someone in the campaign pointed out to Biden that when he makes a joke like "My wife Jill has a PhD, and that can be a problem sometimes" isn't funny to a lot of women.
I have 100% confidence that they have tamed the comedian in Biden. He was so awesome and so relaxed in his remarks last night on cable.
