McCain Camp Realizes Palin is “Clueless”.
Oh oh....that's gotta hurt.

Ed Schultz, progressive talk show icon, who visited Anchorage for a Town Hall meeting a couple weeks ago, has a great little news tidbit. From Ed’s website:

Capitol Hill sources are telling me that senior McCain people are more than concerned about Palin. The campaign has held a mock debate and a mock press conference; both are being described as “disastrous.” One senior McCain aide was quoted as saying, “What are we going to do?” The McCain people want to move this first debate to some later, undetermined date, possibly never. People on the inside are saying the Alaska Governor is “clueless.”

The McCain campaign, just like Dorothy and her friends in The Wizard of Oz, has now realized that the giant, intimidating glowing head they believed to be “The Great and Powerful Palin”, is actually the little pudgy man standing behind the curtain, pulling all those levers. Hey….that guy kind of looks like Karl Rove!

Schultz went on to say this morning on air, that Palin’s performance in the mock debate was SO bad, they stopped it right in the middle and didn’t even bother to go on.

2. Will she crawl back to Alaska? They can't possibly let her debate.

3. Why don't they just put a tiara on her and push her out to the stage?

4. She probably isn't as bad as everyone percieves...
but now, after so many off script gaffs and all the negative feedback, she has zero confidence... which leads to more performance issues.

In a sports analogy, they just took a decent high school quarterback, but not a great one, and put them in as the starting quarterback of the New England Patriots.

And, unlike all the Disney movies where this is the premise, there really isn't magical powers or guardian angels hovering around to make sure every game goes her way.

7. Had Palin Been A Liberal and Obama's Running Mate...
Had Sarah Palin been a recently-elected Governor from a small state who'd been a small-town mayor right before then who'd been a liberal Democrat chosen to be the vice presidential candidate on the Democratic ticket, would the Connies and the Rethugs have been willing to cut her some slack?

If not, she deserves the same treatment they deal out.

I'm sorry, but after 20 plus year of villification and personal attacks as right-wing sop, I don't feel very merciful today.

8. I'm not feeling sorry for her or suggesting we take it easy on her.
Just explaining whats going on for her.

Biden will destroy her next week, without being "mean to the little woman".

If it really happens. Somehow, I think that debate will not happen.

12. It's really hard to believe than anyone as stupid and incoherent
as she has been in the two real interviews with the national press, could have been elected dog catcher, much less mayor.

14. How can this surprise anyone? She's OBVIOUSLY mean, nasty and totally clueless.
Apparently I'm far more brilliant than virtually all politicians. I knew Bush would be a terrible president. I doubted the WMD story. I knew the war in Iraq was a huge mistake. I knew Palin was an incompetent dolt the first time I saw her. I'm a genius.
