Experience does not always equal wisdom-
Edited on Fri Sep-26-08 11:09 PM by Bluerthanblue
John Belushi was an incredibly talented comedian- who had a LOT of experience with drugs.

His friend and fellow comedian Robin Williams, didn't have as much experience, but he was fortunate enough to have the wisdom to see that if he didn't stop doing cocaine, he'd likely end up like John.

Experience can be a good thing if you are able to learn from your mistakes and adjust your actions to avoid continuing to fail and fall short. But if you can't, experience can be more like an albatross.

"Wise men learn by other men's mistakes, fools by their own."
- H. G. Bohn

McCain loves to point to his 'experience' over and over and over- which gives Obama the opportunity to display his wisdom. Which he did repeatedly tonite.

2. Very true, and well said.
I was just posting about what impresses me about Obama, and I think this is a good point. He has a lot of wisdom compared to others who claim more experience.

At the end when he ran out of names to drop he had to throw in Reagan?
What a sad man.. if bringing up the past over and over and over helps win him that many votes it's just plain SAD.
He managed to throw in his time in captivity near the end too.. he's like a bad joke on ye Grand Old party :p

4. Like my flight instructor used to say...
"Good judgement comes from experience -

Experience comes from bad judgement."

McCain is VERY experienced. O8)
