About the "Putin rears his head" comment from Palin. . .
. . .did she mean to say "rears his ugly head?" I can't imagine that comment was productive in US/Russian relations.

3. I didn't get that either.
The whole statement sounded ridiculous!

"... it's very important when you consider even national security issues with Russia as Putin rears his head and comes into the air space of the United States of America, where-- where do they go? It's Alaska."

So .... her foreign policy experience is based on the Russian president's use of Alaskan air space???

17. Moscow is closer to our east coast...
than it is to Anchorage, Alaska.

Well maybe close, in distance, but Putin wouldn't want to fly over the vast wasteland of eastern Russian...which is much closer to Alaska.

Siberia, eastern Russia, covers about 70% of their territory and has less than one inhabitant per square kilometer. The trade relations between Palin's Alaska and Siberia must involve repossessed igloos and furs...maybe prisoner exchanges.

Whatever, can anyone really be that stupid? It boggles my mind how McCain/Palin could be in contention. Yeah, I know, about 40% of our population is, to put it somewhat politically correct, Faux News types and/or the uninformed. Oh wait, that's synonymous.

I was pretty sure that was the case, but couldn't find confirmation.

Maybe she thinks she is the governor of Greenland?

11. She was talking about a vast ghostly appearance of Putin in the aurora
It happens often when he transmits communist signals from his bunker. He can control the Aurora Borealis and change it to look like his head, and try to brainwash the people of that state where she lives.

At least that's what I took from her comments.
