13. Ras said yesterday, essentially, that McChicken's been propped up by previously good numbers.
This isn't a one-day spike... this is the result of three days of good numbers for Obama and one day of good McCain numbers sliding off the tracker.

5. Whoa... guess McCain's political stunt isn't working very well
I've been worried that, against all logic, it would actually pay off. This is a sign that it won't. Also, Palin's dreadful interview and McCain blowing off Letterman couldn't have helped.

7. Well, in all honesty, we may not know how this bail out crap will help or hurt...
...for another few days. But Obama with 50% on Rass is still AMAZING.

8. From the tracking poll data: McCain has been bleeding support from white women.
"McCain’s lead among white women is down to two-percentage points. This is a segment of the population that George W. Bush carried by eleven points four years ago."

14. Two simple reasons for this
The economy

The loss of Palin's "luster"

9. That is quite a jump for the Rasmussen poll!
It will be interesting to see the Gallup later on today as well. Nice job McCain, way to choke your own campaign.

11. Interesting stat
For most of Election 2008, McCain has attracted more support from Democrats than Obama earned from Republicans. That is no longer the case. Each man now attracts 12% of voters from the other political party.

This is significant. The Hillary voters who are siding with McCain has been one group that I have been following closely with great frustration. Winning them back could be the biggest key to victory, IMO.

12. My God, a miracle has occurred. Rasmussen is showing 50%!
This poll is so slow that we must be up about 7 points. I guess the Washington Post Poll was not so inaccurate. Gallup will probably see McCain going down a bit. He is tanking. His political stunt is backfiring and I couldn't be happier. Tracking polls don't guarantee victory, I like to look at state polls more. However, it means we are moving in the right direct UP and McLiar is going DOWN!
