McCain's suspended campaign is wall-to-wall surrogates ...
... claiming he's responsible for negotiations wrapping up so quickly. Asshat Tucker Bounds just said the progress on the bill was all due to "The Leadership of John McCain". Earlier, one surrogate claimed by suspending the campaign the message was sent to the Banking Committee to "get to work!".

Oy.

2. Actually, it was.
As soon as those negotiating heard McCain was coming they buckled down and got it wrapped up before he showed up and drove them all crazy with long, rambling monologues about how much a candy bar cost in 1950.
