I just heard from the Obama campaign.
I had forwarded the following suggestion: After listening to John McCain repeatedly attack Senator Obama for a supposed lack of judgement, I would love to hear Barack respond, hopefully during one of the debates, "John has had a lot of things to say about MY judgement, but I would like to point out that there is only one person on this stage who has ever been criticized for exercising 'poor judgement' by a Senate Ethics Committee, and that person is John McCain."
Their reply expressing appreciation for my suggestion was probably boiler plate stuff, but I swear, I really think that hanging the Keating 5 around Grandpa's turkey neck will find traction in this political climate. It has the dual advantage of making a nice sound bite, and it also reminds the public that McCain was up to his ears in the kind of financial shenanigans that evntually led to the mess we're in today.
What do you all think?

1. Is This the letter you got?
"Dear Friend,

Thank you for contacting Senator Obama, and for sharing this material with us. Barack is gratified by the unprecedented outpouring of interest and grassroots support this campaign has generated.

There is a lot of work to do, and we're glad to have the benefit of your ideas. Senator Obama is traveling around America listening to the thoughts and concerns of people from all walks of life, and reading letters and emails from many more. Barack knows well that Washington does not have a monopoly on good ideas, and neither does he. That is why it's important to hear from everyone, and we will take this under consideration.

In the meantime, please bookmark www.BarackObama.com and visit often. We've built a set of easy-to-use web tools that empower you. At http://my.barackobama.com/acmybarackobama you can do the following:

- Build your own profile and connect with supporters near you
- Find or create your own local or national group
- Create your own personal fundraising page and track your progress
- Find events near you or plan your own
- Chronicle your campaign experience on your own blog

Thank you again for contacting Senator Obama.

Sincerely,

Obama for America"

4. The response I got was quite a bit longer than that, but ...
it expressed the same general sentiments.

2. Yeah, I've made a couple of points/suggestions, and got the same letter. But at
least they acknowledged my email! - something that some people/entities don't even bother with.

3. Obama doesn't need to go there because the press is connecting the dots. There was even a Libertaria
on Rachel Maddow's show making a big deal about it.

Besides, we have fresh meat--Rick Davis (McCain's sleazy, well-known from TV campaign manager) lobbying for Freddie Mac.

That on'e going to hurt McCain BADLY.
