1. Absolutely that's what this is about. Sarah is a disaster off the cuff...
It will be very entertaining to see her on the same stage with Biden.

2. See: Bailout crisis indeeed, Campaign Supension a Palin Bailout.

After she has performed so terribly on Couric and Gibson, they realized there is no way in hell she can handle even a softball debate.

So McCain did the only thing he could, try to cancel this fridays debate and have it moved to the VP debate and then reschedule the VP debate for a later time, which would either mean it never occurs or it happens too late for it to make any difference.

3. Obama should refuse, of course.
Best case scenario: McCain cancels on ALL the debates and the country turns on him completely.

4. Would they go this far just to give Sarah more time to cram for her debate?
They must realize that Biden, with no real effort, will make her look like a fool. It's pretty obvious by now that she is not only inexperienced but horribly uninformed on the issues.

5. Is his campaign going to foot THE ENTIRE BILL for canceling Friday's debate?
Why should anyone else be expected to pay for his cheap political stunt? Canceling the debate would cost the University of Mississippi $5.5 million.

7. Right after the shit hit the fan yesterday, I watched FOX reaction and whoever
was on (I can't remember) talked about the millions of dollars that had been spent in preparation for this debate by the media as well as everybody else... the schedules, the temporary help hired, the availability of the auditorium, and a whole list of other stuff... but especially the money spent.

9. The pit bull ain't ready for prime time.
She's in way over her head, and an additional week or two of cramming isn't going to cut it. McCain's ultimate goal is to cancel the veep debate altogether.

11. Obama should tell them to get bent. Why should the VP debate be affected at all?
They could pick ANY other day. Why the day of the VP debate?

They're too transparent.

The Obama camp should publicly state there's no reason to affect the VP debate and deny the American people every scheduled opportunity to hear from ALL the candidates - that they can choose ANY other day for the Foreign Policy debate if McCain really feels he cannot meet the original commitment - and force the McCain camp's hand. If the McCain campaign needs to figure out a way to keep Palin from facing Biden, let them come up with another way to chicken out.

12. They saw Biden's foreign policy speech yesterday and panicked----BIG TIME.
Of course, there was also McCain's "the fundamentals of the economy are strong," and the myriad of economy flip-flops during the past week; his tanking in the polls; Rick Davis' hand caught in the cookie jar; Palin's epic fail in interviews, troopergate witness tampering and her alleged affair....the list goes on and on and on.

Still, the "MAINSTREAM" TV MEDIA keeps propping up these fools. :puke:

13. Bottom Line This Is All McCain's Fault For Going Along With The Palin Pick.....
if he truly is a Maverick and the party was forcing him to pick someone other than who he wanted to (Lieberman or Ridge) he wouldn't have to be dealing with the Palin Problem right now - but he caved.

He made his bed - and now he has to live with it.

As for me - I don't want a president that doesn't have good judgment and isn't strong enough to make his own decisions and make them stick.

14. I'll bet they're both no shows.
They probably won't show for any of the debates and they'll go back to whining about town hall meetings.

15. Yep, that's part of it.
That and stop Obama's building momentum by pulling a razzle-dazzle stunt.

Obviously, the other 99 Senators, 435 Representatives, economists and market experts in Washington do not need McCain's feeble economic know-how there to come up with a bailout plan. Somebody seems to have an egotism/self-aggrandizement problem.
