Freddie Mac Paid McCain Campaign Manager's Firm Through last Month

Huffington Post | Nicholas Graham | September 23, 2008 08:21 PM

“John McCain’s campaign manager and Freddie Mac essentially had a secret half a million dollar lay-a-way plan. For almost three years, they made secret, monthly payments of $15,000 to Rick Davis for apparently no other work than for him to provide special access to a future McCain White House in exchange. If McCain knew about this, his presidential campaign should be over. If he didn’t know about it, he ought to fire Rick Davis immediately.”

McCain Lied About Campaign Manager's Ties to Freddie Mac

On Sunday, in an interview with CNBC and The New York Times, John McCain stated unequivocally that his lobbyist campaign manager, Rick Davis, has had no involvement with Freddie Mac for several years. Today, however, The Times reveals that Freddie Mac paid Davis's firm $15,000 a month from the end of 2005 through last month. The payments ceased only after the beleaguered mortgage giant was taken over by the federal government a couple of weeks ago.

The two officials with direct knowledge of Freddie Mac's post-2005 contract with Davis spoke on condition of anonymity. One is a Democrat and the other a registered independent. Four other outside consultants, three Democrats and a Republican also speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed that it was widely known that Davis was being paid though his firm.

These revelations obviously reak of hypocrisy on the part of McCain, who has levied repeated and widely discredited charges that former Fannie Mae executives have served as Obama advisers.

3. It is the same relationship Rick Davis was arranging with conman Raffaello Follieri
Edited on Wed Sep-24-08 09:31 AM by Boz
He and McCain met with Follieri on his yacht in Montenegro to celebrate McCains 70th birthday.

2 weeks later Rick Davis and his firm were hired as lobbyist by Follieri.

Follieris big con was that he was pretending to be the Vaticans Commercial Business controller and he had convinced McCain and Davis that he was going to trade access to McCains Whitehouse for the Vaticans backing and presentation of American Catholics votes to John McCain by pressure of the Vatican and bully pulpit of the pope.

The guy actually had NOTHING TO DO WITH THE VATICAN and it was all a big con and he had bilked million out of alot o people pretending to represent the Vaticans Commercial interests.
