They know when we freak..Be Postive of our position .got it on good tip
Edited on Wed Sep-01-04 06:16 PM by vetwife
The pollings, I have been told are based somewhat of our reaction to anything that is going on in the Kerry Camp. On good sources, which I won't reveal due to the Freepers who slip in here, I have been told , many democratic sites, including this one and I would say especially this one is a target for picking up vibes of our mood and reporting back to the RNC.

They then take lines like "Dems scared or getting nervous", use them as talking points and then there is a drop in Kerry's polls due to their assessment of what they deem
uncertainty of the base. Whatever you do, Please from here on out, please express and reflect good vibes . I for one am feeling very good about this election. I am not scared. I am sure that Kerry has a staff and response action committee that knows exactly how to send George W. Bush on down the road ! Thanks for listening, I just thught I would share what I have learned about the slimeball strategy from the right. Its like Morale ! We have to be up and cheering for our Team as anything less than this can be misconstrued as what we are really doing, thinking out loud or wanting things to hurry up.

The same thing is happening at Free republic, they are all up or all down but we capitalize on it and use it against them.

Be of Great Cheer..We are gonna win this thing ! Their elephant show was a disaster..And thats a fact !

That is what the Repubs are good at. It's a great teaching technique.
We need to use it---

4. Honestly, what difference does it make if they think we're nervous?
Even if they think we're anxious or nervous or whatever, what difference does it really make? Does it hurt John Kerry? Does it cost us votes?

I know what a Psyops is. But that doesn't answer my question.
If they know we - or some of us - are anxious, does it really hurt us? Does it cost Kerry any votes?

9. Psyops...
Does tend to take its toll over the long term, on the resolve of some people. These clowns are in it for a war of attrition. They want to attrit our resolve any way they can.

Look around, look at some of the posts of late. Do you doubt that is their game?

My recommendation is that The Good Lord, in His Infinite Wisdom, gave us two middle fingers for a reason. We should bow to His Wisdom, and use them with amazing regularity.

17. Quite honestly, no, I don't think most of posts are part of that game.
"Look around, look at some of the posts of late. Do you doubt that is their game?"

I have no doubt there are Freeper trolls or moles at DU.

But I also don't think most of the posts that express anxiety or concern are part of their game. I've seen a lot of posts that are simply people talking about what they think of the campaign and are told in response that they're chicken little, or "woe is me" posters when in fact they haven't said anything of the sort.

I have my own concerns - but I'm expressing them precisely because I know we CAN win. Not because I think we can't or won't.

Sometimes the backbiting among liberals and democrats is maddening - but by now I figure it's just part of the package.

35. The answer is "YES!!!!"
It costs us votes. In addition to being monitored by the RNC, there are also a lot of journalists who read DU and other web sites. When the repukes start saying "Dems are worried about xyz", they can get confirmation, and then, instead of reporting "Republicans say that Democrats are in a tizzy about xyz", they report "Democrats ARE in a tizzy about xyz".

That looks unorganized and chaotic, and no one wants to vote for someone who can't organize a campaign. So yes, it does cost us votes.

It is ususal for an incumbent to get a bounce after the convention and the pundits are already talking about no more than a 4 or 5 point bounce YAAAAAAHOO ! We will slap that down BEFORE the first debate ! If by a fluke it was more, we would still slap it down on them. People are angry and people are registering like never before for the Dems and Old Zell just helped the cause. He angered more dems than energized for Bush..Hey Zell I'm sitting in your sunny Peach State...You traitor ! think you gonna convince me..Think again..I registered more people today for Kerry !

I have been looking for it. John King asked him if it was a pulpit and he said, "My Goodness". I don't know if he was saying it was or he was falling at Bush's feet. Either way the podium has a cross on it ! It is a pulpit !

27. The gloom and doomers seem to fall into 3 categories
There are the disguised freeps, I don't think there are really all that many of these.

There are the DU'ers who never liked Kerry, don't like his stance on Iraq, and think their primary candidate would have done better or been more "true" or what-have-you; there are apparently quite a few of these, or they post a lot.

The truly worried who tend to view every poll movement within the margin of error as definitive of the outcome. I'll give them points for caring, but it's not a very sensible assessment and certainly not a very courageous one.

I've been making lists for myself of what posters fit into which category, so I can disregard their vibes.

I agree that we are in a public forum here, and acting like daffy duck or chicken little is neither useful nor tactically smart.

28. Democrats have never been so positive.
But, let's face it. Democrats are by definition critical thinkers. That's why our presidents do such a good job managing the economy, winning wars and making friends abroad.

My only criticism of John Kerry is that he's not president right now, and we don't see enough of him in California. Other than that, he is doing a great job. I especially like what I've heard about his speech today before the Veterans . . . .

40. I share you optimism...
Can anybody really believe Bush is going to be able to keep up the "I am a great leader because of 9/11" bullshit? People are not stupid. The only people who say Bush is a great leader are the Republicans and the media. Ask any Bush supporter you know what SPECIFIC ACTION(S) by Bush after 9/11 makes him a great leader. They can't answer! They will say some vague statement that the media used as a mantra back in 2001 but nothing specific because specifics only bring back the fuck ups by the administration.

Republicans are stupid to try to link 9/11 to Iraq again. I was so happy when I heard the theme for their convention because it is all BS! They have nothing!

People here get scared because of poll numbers and it is just silly. We're getting a huge turnout this year and these new voters are likely to vote Kerry. These polls mean shit!

Kerry is going to win big! Mark my words! This week is the RNC so we have to stay put and watch the Republicans have their fun.

But Democrats are getting the last laugh in November! Mark my words!
