I'm an independent registered voter in PA. Would not vote for
McCain Palin even if they said I would die if I didn't. They
are absolutely frightening on SO many levels.

Because the Democratic registration is real high. The Dems have been gaining. The Rethugs losing. As a result, most of the independents actually lean conservative. Basically most of the more liberal independents are Dems now. The remaining independents are dis-enfranchised rethugs.

If Obama is close to even with McSane among this group on election day, he will carry the state, as this recent poll points out.

Considering we have a closed primary.

So those Independents who wanted to vote in the Democratic primary are now Dems. The right-leaning Indies probably didn't bother registering though, considering McCain already had the nomination sewn up.

Long story short, our Indie pool is "funky" now.
