Roxbury, NJ has a problem.

White Supremacists and a police chief who doesn't give a fuck.

Residents in one New Jersey town are disturbed after receiving fliers over the weekend that question Barack Obama's candidacy on racial grounds.

Roxbury resident Elizabeth Corsetto says a flier was left in her driveway asking, ``Do You Want A Black President?'' and showing a doctored photo of Obama with a long beard and turban.

Roxbury Police Chief Mark Noll says the fliers were left on various streets in the northwestern New Jersey township by a white supremacist group called the League of American Patriots.

Noll says the incident is being investigated as littering, which carries a potential $500 fine, and not as a hate crime, because the group did not target certain homes.

Someone oughta clue Chief Noll in that his town is not in Mississippi, and this ain't the Fifties. A fucking littering charge ain't gonna cut it.

Not that it is an excuse. Chief Noll should address this as a hate crime and not 'littering'.

It has a very large Reform Jewish synagogue that is extremely liberal. The entire county it is in is majoprity Republican (except for about 3 towns) - but that is due to affluence and old money. This is NOT at all typical.

I also think the fliers are pretty stupid. Everyone knows Obama is black. What exactly does this flier tell them that is new. I suspect that this was done by isolated RW idiots - the type that can be anywhere. (Jerome Corsi lives about 25 miles away in a lovely town where Bill Bradley once lived. I was taking a walk at lunchtime. The one woman who saved the flyer said that the flyer was stating something like all countries with a Black leader have lots of crime. She was saying "so they think that the US is going to turn into Haiti if Obama wins? That's ubsurd. Something to that effect. The reporter also said that most of them threw out the fliers. Doesn't sound like it went over well.
