House Republican endorses Obama
HOUSE REPUBLICAN THROWS HIS SUPPORT TO OBAMA.... There are 434 members of the House, and none of them has broken ranks to support the other party's presidential candidate. With that in mind, I found this pretty interesting.

Rep. Wayne Gilchrest, a maverick Republican from Maryland, endorsed Illinois Democratic Sen. Barack Obama for president in an interview Wednesday with WYPR, Baltimore's National Public Radio station.

Gilchrest, who lost a primary campaign and is retiring from Congress, has already endorsed the Democrat running for his seat, Frank Kratovil. Justifying his endorsement of Obama, Gilchrest said that "we can't use four more years of the same kind of policy that's somewhat haphazard, which leads to recklessness."

Obama and his running mate, Sen. Joe Biden (D-Del.), "have the breadth of experience. I think they're prudent. They're knowledgeable."

I can't help but notice that Gilchrest's endorsement of Obama/Biden came the same day as Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild's endorsement of McCain/Palin. One is a sitting Republican member of Congress, one is a member of the DNC's platform committee. Why is the former treated as less significant than the latter?

Maybe the Obama campaign should have arranged for a press conference for Gilchrest. Maybe they still might.

1. Remember back to 2004, Pro. Media let Zell Miller have all the time he wanted. When Lee Iaccoca and

other big name Republicans came out for Kerry, they suddenly couldn't get any airtime to talk about it. How many times did you see Miller and that asshat Ed Koch on TV that entire election?

The media is doing what they do - protect the fascists and their agenda.

2. Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild??
With a name like that she thinks Barack Obama is "elitist"?

Why in the world she was ever on our platform committee is the real question.

4. More on Milady
Very, very few people occupy that truly elite niche of wealth, power and privilege that enfolds the family Rothschild. And giving Lady Rothschild her due, she was a fabulously wealthy lawyer and entrepreneur who made $100 million on her own before she married her fabulously wealthy husband (and honeymooned at the White House with Hillary and Bill).

Here's where the Rothschild's kick back and connect with the little people. It's their spread in Buckinghamshire. (check out her palatial estate here):

A separate point of hypocrisy is Lady Forester de Rothschild's abandonment of economic theories she held during the Democratic primary. In support of Clinton's candidacy she told Portfolio: "What is in the interest of all Americans? I think if history is our guide, we've had stronger economies, more wealth creation under Democratic presidents than Republican presidents. So I don't understand why all my capitalist friends aren't Democrats."

Maybe Milady, who was born in New Jersey, has spent too much time in England. She probably meant to say that Obama is uppity, not elitist. That's got to be it.

3. I enjoy that he's called a "maverick Republican"
McCain can't even get his self-described demographic to endorse him!
