I think the Kerry states plus NM & IA look safe for us. That's a total of 264, and we need one of CO, OH, VA, or FL. I think it's very doable

1. it's doable with work like hell
let's take all four you mentioned--I'm in Ohio and I'm determined to take it--we actually won in 2004, but our government in the state is different now. LEt's go!!!

5. NV has 5 electoral votes, which would bring us to a 269-269 tie.

12. I'm sorry but I wouldn't consider that a win.....
.... I mean I'd take it, whatever gets him to PA ave I suppose ..... but it would be an embarassment and would be the rallying cry for the Republicans to get Palin in the White House in 2012 like FL has been for us.

Obama has to win this and win it well or we've failed ..... we've accomplished too much for any other kind of ending.

That's why we all have to keep working like we're 20 pts down.

4. Colorado is our best shot. It seems to be a total toss-up at the moment though.
Hopefully we registered a lot of new voters in the state.

10. That's it in a nutshell. Just one of those states will do it.
We really are close. We just need one of those to swing Obama, and victory is ours. Florida is looking increasingly unlikely, though. Which sucks. I'd really like to win that state.

14. Don't be so sure....
.....Florida is going to be a lot closer than you think. We might be able to take Florida this year.

15. I hope you're right. I'm trying to remind myself not to listen to the polls.
I just think it would be such a great inversion of Gore's 2000 "loss" if Florida was the state that put Obama over the top this time.
