In 2004, I was part of the audience when he spoke with John Kerry and Teresa Hines-Kerry. In the waiting area, they gave all of us in the audience the "Dr. Phil Newsletter." The crowd, all Kerry supporters, were shaking their heads at the article written by Robin McGraw about her day... and all about how she "serves" Phil and the boys. It was nausating. The tone was one of a submissive wife, a woman who must cater to the men because they are to be served. Don't let the supportive wife routine fool you.
