The tone on Morning Joe today tells me that the tide has turned our way....

You can hear it in the subject matter that is being discussed, in the tenor of the hosts and guests.

World events have turned this campaign back to Obama's turf and the McCain camp is on the defensive.

I believe the Gallup and Rasmussen dailies will show movement in Obama's direction starting today... by Thursday, Obama will be up by 2 or 3 points.

No campaign can spin their way out of events that are this big. "Small ball"... i.e., focusing on social wedge issues that aren't important in the big picture... ain't going to work when the economy is collapsing before our eyes.

2. McCain looked especially bad on NBC, MSNBC, and CNN this morning...

Testy

irritated

old

The body language and tone showed that he is seething under the surface and struggling to restrain his temper.

If ever there was a time to do something that would make him ballistic, now is the time. It would lead to a major gaffe by him.

6. Ambien hangover.
Maybe he was sleepwalking. Repubs may rethink getting McMummy up so early for interviews. They've been hiding him from questions and this morning didn't go well.

9. He's definitely on the defensive..
I think he's shocked at how vociferously he's been called out on the lies. That "without honor" ad really sent him off-balance.

3. I've noticed that too (not watching)
I think the Nightmare on Wall Street could be the final nail...that and the fact that McCain is running an empty campaign with a vapid VP, all they can do is flat out lie.

THIS is where the Biden vs. Palin picks are telling. DC doesn't like uncertainty (the people who own the people in DC that is) Biden assures them and Palin scares them.

7. the only thing is
I wish this had not happened at all of course, but if it was going to happen, would have preferred closer to the debates (the meltdown on wall street not mccain losing it, that can happen every day for me).

Now he has time to yet again get a second try.
