3. One thing in regards to satire/comedy he said it was
important! He said the more people that realise John McCain has lost his mind, the better! LOL

11. Priceless! And Joe is not back on YET ... not so bold at the moment.
Licking his iddle ego wounds. Poor right wing bastard didn't have a prayer at holding his own with Chevy Chase, much less one-upping him.

Oh too funny. I want to see this on YouTube soon.

29. hmm
wonder if McCain will confuse Chevy's nutty/crazy character on Caddyshack with the sane one Chevy plays in real life. ;P

4. Says there is so much wrong with this woman but the media just falls all over itself for her
Edited on Mon Sep-15-08 07:41 AM by berni_mccoy
Says he wishes they would have taken out the Clinton part of the SNL skit and totally destroyed Palin.

Can't wait for more Tina Fey skits on Palin.

6. No the Clinton part was brilliant. It tore apart the sexism criticism in the press.
It pointed out the double standard and explained why the right woman could be a good choice.

15. I agree entirely with you. Clinton ran for President and just happened to be a woman. Also, many
things about Palin wouldn't have come out with out Poehler playing Clinton..ie ask her about dinosaurs!!!!!

19. You are correct
the point that the person (who played Clinton) made about people suddenly being upset about sexism in the campaign- the Clinton part had to be there.

9. Bummer that he had to "tone it down" for the sake of his wife's noble cause.
Still, I didn't hear Joey the Scar bid Chevy "fare thee well" at the end of the interview. Instead our "lovable" spring butt brown noser Willie G. had to take over the interview towards the end. Joe probably had to be sent to a room for a little "quiet time." :eyes:

17. "What does Sarah Palin know...
...and when did she start knowing it?"

Love it!! Quote from Chevy... His wife also said that Palin doesn't represent anything she as a woman stands for... He ripped McCain/Palin to shreds...it was great...

20. Yes, and his "physical comedy" - always falling and tripping in parody of Gerald Ford
was IMO (my dated  opinion), HILARIOUS!

Here's a clip MSNBC segment "The Accidental President"

politician and conclude that he was "just a terrific guy."

Many in my extended family have horridly WARPED political views but because they're family, we don't discuss politics. I would like to believe that many republicans can be *won over* with time, patience and increasing attention to their cultural priorities. But, as they say, "Rome wasn't built in a day." However, we are beginning to reach out. :-)

We can't afford to write-off self described republicans.
