Poll question: Electoral College: Keep it or get rid of it?
Interesting question since the road to 270 electoral votes is looking easier for Senator Obama right now than the road to a popular vote majority. How would you feel if Senator Obama lost the popular vote, yet won due to the Electoral College? Poetic after the way Bush stole the election in Florida in 2000 or a sure sign after the popular vote winner losing the presidency two out of three times that the system needs to change?

1. Until we have transparency of elections, get rid of just a couple vendors programming most states...

We need to minmize the dangers. Have laws that say we can audit or handcount the ballots-unlike Florida that says once machine counted, that's it.

ie keep the college

2. The forefathers in their infinite wisdom....
set up the Electoral College because they thought that people were too stupid to vote for President. Sounds familiar?

4. Keep. It puts barriers up that limit vote suppression.
Let's face it. What could they do in Georgia and Mississippi if they really tried?
