Why Obama will make a great POTUS--add your reasons
We've had plenty of posts on why the McSame/"Dubya" Palin ticket would be an awful choice in this year's election. How about some more on why Obama/Biden would be a great choice? People who stop by might like some reasons why they should be happy to vote Dem this year.

I'll start with something basic: Both Barack Obama and Joe Biden are from the middle class. They have middle class values and know how it is to be where most of us are now. They know budgets and student loans, car payments and mortgages. Neither got where they are today because they had a famous family or any particular breaks--they got there on their own personal merits. They've got the education and smarts that it takes to lead the world's only super-power and make it better, along with the rest of the world.

1. Barack Obama is a good, decent, smart man who will restore honor to the Presidency.
I firmly believe that. I firmly believe after the obscenity of the past 8 years, he will bring honor to the Presidency. And he will be a President we can be proud of again. I hate being embarrassed and ashamed of the President.

John McCain, because of his lies and his dishonor, is morally unfit to be President.

4. You must be a mom--lol.
That was always my line with my kids.

Reason #3: The world is waiting for a President who is smart and capable and willing to bring the U.S. up to speed, up to the level of progress than many of the world's countries are now at. It will help the world come together to solve our many problems.

5. Nope. No kids at all....
:-)but I remember my mom saying it. A lot. I questioned everything she told me to do. And sometimes, I got the belt because of it. ;-)

He is intelligent, and has many creative solutions for the problems we now face.
He is also involving the American people in his campaign. I mean, we are his only source of funding, and have a big stake in watching him succeed, far after he is sworn in as President.

I've seen the way he runs his campaign, and if he runs the country this way, I've no fear, no matter what we face. He is steady, thoughtful, and strongly determined to succeed in everything he pursues.

Did you see how he kept O'Reilly at bay? If he can make O'Reilly, one of his worst critics, amiable in his presence, I think he will do well with world leaders that aren't as obnoxious as O'Reilly and who are willing meet him on middle ground, and even with those who aren't willing to meet him a third of the way.

He inspires people to reach into themselves and bring out the best. I could go on and on, but will stop here, because I am not a good writer.

3. He feels a responsibility to voters like no other candidate I've ever seen.
I watched the YouTube clip of him speaking to his Chicago staff after he secured the nomination. What's stayed with me from his remarks is how very seriously he recognizes the enormous position of trust and responsibility he has earned from the Democratic Party. He essentially said, "we MUST WIN. We must win, because otherwise, all those people I've met, the single mom who needs healthcare for her kids, the guy who was laid off his job -- they will have no where to turn. They will have no recourse. They will have no one looking out for them. We must win."

6. Because it is in my economic interests to support him.
He is not a warmonger. He understands the complexity of the issues facing us today starting with healthcare, environment and Social Security and it goes on and on. He chose a good man in Joe Biden.

7. Because he really believes in making lives better for people - in contrast to
corporations.

While the rw wackos try to make fun of him for being a community organizer, that is what impresses me the most about him. He could of made alot of money after college, instead he worked to better the lives of people whose lives had been shattered by losing their jobs.

He is an honorable man.

9. I trust him.
I have trust that when he makes a decision he's thought it out and is doing the best thing he can.

11. He is a constitutionalist
who has promised to review and throw out any unconstitutional signing statements Lawless passed.

He is a thoughtful, intelligent, honorable person who will be the best diplomat we've had in the WH for a long time.

He surrounds himself with people who question him and offer a diversity of thought and approach

His economic plan makes sense and benefits the people.

He brings people together and will heal this nation.

he will put an end to the massive media congloms -- that is a bill he already authored that has not been voted on, and is a reason (IMO) that the media is not so "Obama friendly". It is American citizen friendly.

He empowers people and hence, will empower this nation to better itself.

He will implement alternative energy tax cuts and create new jobs in the green sector.

He has brilliant people advising him instead of high placed lobbyists.

He is for America's people, not her corporations.

He is the only person for the job.
