The "soft bigotry of low expectations" and the "Bush Doctrine" question.
Let's face it folks. Everyone in America knows that Joe Biden or Barack Obama would have nailed the "Bush Doctrine" question. So why do Republicans (and some here) think it was an unfair question? Can it be that they are engaging in "the soft bigotry of low expectations?"
My God, she's running for the second highest office in this country. That was not a difficult question for someone who is allegedly prepared to be a heartbeat away from the presidency. Clearly, she hasn't been paying attention these past 7 years.
3. McCain picked her and he is 72 danged years old so some focus must be on her also.
It reflects on his judgement and dammit, she could be President in January of 2009. The chances of that happening if McCain is elected are actually greater than a lot of people think. We better hope that some people are voting against McCain because of her because a whole lot of people are voting FOR McCain because of her.
4. Unfair question! It's about the most relevant foreign policy question there is!
And she sounded like a college freshman who had been out drinking all night while she should have been studying, put on the spot by a professor!
The only thing that was "tough" is that he didn't give her the answer when it became immediately obvious that she didn't know what the hell he was talking about! Why should he? The aim here is to figure out if she knows what the hell she is talking about!
