Here's Sarah Palin in a nutshell: She is a fucking dilettante!
This is a person with average intelligence trying to pass herself off as a Harvard intellectual. Her answers during the ABC interview were desperate attempts to legitimize herself as a Vice Presidential candidate, but in her half-witted attempt to "toughly" counteract Gibson's line of questioning, she sounded hollow and unfit for her role.

I do not want her to be the exemplar for women occupying the highest offices in this nation. Bring me brains. Bring me substance. Bring me something more than cute, coached, and incapable.

9. Everything this woman has pursued in her life strikes me as narcissistic.
The beauty pageants, the sports reporting, and now the political ladder-climbing. Can we say "Peter Principle?"

6. She was a big fish in a small pond.
Now she is trying to be a big fish in a big pond. It just doesn't work. It's been tried...never works.

7. Cute, Coached ... Incapable

Bumper Sticker!

I'm embarrassed to be of the same species as Sarah Palin.

This scene keeps coming to mind every few days, and just when I thought it was the perfect response to some blathering nonsense I've heard from McCain/Palin, something else comes along that redefines perfection.

So, again, had I been conducting that interview, I suspect my reaction would have gone something very much like this:

"What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

8. Anti-Hillary
She is everything Hillary is not and as much as I fought for Obama during the primaries the comparisons of her to Hillary make me sick. Hell the comparisons to Olympia Snowe make me sick.

12. Would the voters in other states re-elect her if she was their governor?
I think not!

Would any of them even elect her their Governor if she was a candidate?

Most of them would not.

14. It was quite pathetic.
She was practically shaking with ineptitude. Can not believe that this is actually happening. How is she even being interviewed as a serious candidate? She had NO IDEA what he was talking about when he mentioned the Bush Doctrine.

Unreal.

15. Her body language said more than her vacuous speech
She wanted to use her hands to emphasize her points but had to rest her elbow on something while she did it. It was the most awkwardly-forced "relaxed" posture I've ever seen. Nevermind the fact that I've seen better answers from high school debate clubs.

16. I think she's screwed.
Edited on Thu Sep-11-08 11:33 PM by RichGirl
When she first came on the scene we knew she wasn't qualified, had a crazy family, but nobody really knew her. Then she gives that boisterous speech at the convention, full of attitude and confidence and everybody (not us, everybody else) thinks she's wonder women. So seeing her today, so confused, nervous, stupid...it was pathetic. I think the freeps were freaked because they had put her up on a pedestal, with huge expectations. Even as they watched her with their own eyes and heard with their ears, her bumbling answers, they blamed Charlie, ABC, the editting, the man on the moon. No...this can't be our Sarah!

23. You know someone "advised" her to say his name because it would give the appearance of control.
:puke:

It made her sound even more whiny. Who knew THAT was possible.

22. As I was saying to my better half tonight...

If these clowns (gramps/lipstick) are elected this country is done for. No, really.

We have already had the prologue with BushCo's total abuse of anything good that the USA stood for, but McShame, if elected, will certainly write the epilogue of America's downward spiraling fate.

Do you really want to see the USA ruled by the twit from Alaska?

She is out of her depth, and I hope and pray (a hard thing for an agnostic) that Joe Biden slowly and surely eviscerates her live during prime time.
