Back in January, Senator John McCain announced that he had a secret plan to capture Osama bin Laden that he would reveal if elected president. Only he knew how to do it, McCain claimed. I would ask Senator McCain that since bin Laden is the most wanted man in the world, would it not be better to capture him sooner rather than later? Is it not important to our national security to capture the man behind 9/11? Why do we have to wait a full year before this plan can be implemented and can he not share his plan with President Bush? Why is John McCain playing politics with national security as we pass the seventh anniversary of 9/11? It seems like winning an election is more important to John McCain than catching the most wanted man in American history. Or, is this secret plan a lie, like Nixon’s secret plan to end the Vietnam War?

1. Nixon claimed to have a secret plan to end the Vietnam

War. It was believed to be the principle reason for his winning the election in a landslide. I've got to leave for an eye appointment, but will try to find information afterward on this sort of campaigning on the part of politicians. I sincerely hope voters won't be fooled by this scam a second time.

After seeing KO last night, I felt like he set himself up for more criticism from Fox/News Corp/Republican "think" tanks, which is
fine because he does not need to make a career out of this. If liberals need tv then they are lost (another topic)

Consider...

1) OBL is not real (for all the conspiracy freaks out there)
2) OBL is real

If 1 -- You send people to find him and A) You find him or B) You don't

If B -- Shitstorm that tears this country apart...obviously...

In case of 2)OBL is real (note: I believe any idiot that takes Civilian life is an utter piece of shit that destroy all prospects for progress)

Again -- You send people to find him and A) You find him or B) You don't
If A) You find him -- then either a. you kill him/imprison him or b.you leave him alone.

Why leave him alone? Tactical and Political. Unfortunately, people were unprepared to view it in these terms. The Tactical explanation is o.k.

Being a criminal and being alive is expedient (see the idea of containment). Because OBL and his camp are a target for surveillance. He is left alive so you can listen to his phone calls, learn their processes, watch for new contacts...etc...etc...The same goes for any criminal drug lord, rogue financier, etc..etc...

The Political justification should BUG THE FUCK OUT OF PEOPLE, but as we saw very clearly in the past two weeks the American General Population openly praises "the ability to play the game" over truth.
