Poll question: Do You Think I Should Preemptively Sue the RNC?
I feel like I will be disenfranchised of my vote come November. I know the RNC is planning on disenfranchising a lot of African Americans come November. I live in Missouri and this state is critical to the GOP. I want to know if I should get the paper work drawn up now just in case they come with some bullshit on November 4th or should I just try to vote early through absentee ballot. I plan on being a poll worker November 4th to make sure the GOP is not trying to disenfranchise voters.

Whaddaya think? The Republicans like to preemptively strike countries and so on, so why can't I preemptively sue them for what I "believe" they will try to do?

1. dont sue, but start gathering torches and pitchforks
there may come a time where we the people may have to take ACTION against those who rule us. Not saying that we should do so now, but there may come a time where we will need to do more than talk about petitions

(btw: in lieu of torches and pitchforks, guns and ammo might be more appropriate)

2. vote absentee,
be a poll worker

I don't think you can sue proactively. Sadly you have to wait until you've been harmed.
But if you really believe that you'll need to sue, retain the attorney in advance

4. I feel like they may try to start some mess.
I contacted the board of elections and am set up to attend training, etc. So, I will probably vote absentee instead of trying to get through the lines at my precinct before it is my scheduled time to go to my location. But I don't want my absentee ballot targeted either. I've been reading all of these voter fraud threads on DU and now I am paranoid. I will file a friggin federal case on their asses if they even try to F around with my vote.

8. at least in my area, if you vote absentee
if you go on election day, you can tell if they recorded you as voting in the election.

9. Really?
I didn't know that. Every time I vote, I have to just sign and initial in my spot. I guess it does make sense to have that notated on their to prevent people from voting twice.

11. really. as you suggested its to prevent voting twice
if you registered for absentee and they haven't received a ballot, you can vote provisional.

10. McCain has stolen so many songs.
I should preemptively sue them for a song I might write (if I ever get the feeling to do so) because lord knows they have no limits to what they feel like they can steal and they would steal it if I were to ever write one.

12. Hey..how about a class action suit?
We won't even have to wait for the election..we can sue them for pain and misery, an irreparable harm.
