Andrea Mitchell raked McCain spokeswoman over the coals!
Edited on Mon Sep-08-08 12:17 PM by ClarkUSA
Mitchell defended Obama's bipartisan Senate bill co-sponsorships, questioning Palin's "being sequestered, speaking only from
teleprompters" which made McCain spokeswoman flustered and repeat the tired line, "Well, we're flattered the media is trying
to influence Gov. Palin's press strategy but we're going to do what's best for the American people."

To which Andrea Mitchell countered (and I paraphrase) that the press only wants to ask the questions that American people
want answered.

Nice job, Andrea.

But seeing her tear the blond bimbo McCain spokeswoman (does the GOP have them on an assembly line?) a new
asshole was an eye-opener, even for Good Andrea.

6. The American People Will Never Be Well Served
by the corporate news media -

MSNBC proved that over the weekend, when they decided to pull Matthews & Olbermann from political discussion during this election.

Last week Andrea was in full twitter mode over the woman from no where.

9. They Didn't Pull Matthews & Obermann...
they are going to continue to be analysts. But how much time they have to speak their mind is another story. Gregory is now the anchor. What a dork...they must be grooming him for MTP.

but this is corporate media and it's the first step GE is taking to silence these two and if it doesn't work, they will fire them. It takes time and documented incidents to fire a personality.

Palin likes to say she's not in the Old Boy's Club but she's wrong -- they own her now.

I was really surprised to watch Andrea Mitchell act like Rachel Maddow. If I hadn't seen it, I wouldn't believe it.
Now she's allowing Sen. Klobuchar review McCain's new ad. Mitchell first read Team Obama's response.

He said something like that Bush should stop using the Fed as a piggy-bank.

the press--nor should she.

Keep kicking 'em back, m$m, it makes for good teevee and good ratings.

I'm sure she doesn't like the Republican strong arming of her colleagues out of their anchor jobs..

...from that charge that he didn't visit troops in Germany because "they wouldn't allow cameras". She said over and over that it didn't happen that way.

34. The media thought Obama was shutting them out of meetings
with the troops, remember the basketball court episode(?). It was Bush or the Pentagon that made the rules. When the reporters realized Obama was telling them the truth they changed their attitude towards him. That's my view of what happened.

36. Andrea doesn't feel like showing deference for a few years, I guess.
McCain knee-capped Larry King. Palin told the press they needed to kiss her ass just right to get an interview. That's gotta rub anyone with an ounce of self-respect the wrong way.

42. That is cool...
"We're flattered the media is trying to influence Gov. Palin's press strategy but we're going to do what's best for the American people."

That is some cool, meaningful-sounding BS.

I absolutely LOVE how the GOP has made it sound like the press -- you know, with all their little questions and reporters and cameras -- can somehow commandeer and control their campaign.
REALLY? The entire McCain campaign machine is just that wussy?

(Although, to be fair, this "strategy" DOES have everyone talking about Palin and the McCain campaign. But it doesn't seem like positive talk.)

I also love the stated presumption that a candidate's campaign strategy can somehow be "best for the American people."
REALLY? Your day-to-day campaign decisions are going to improve Americans' lives?

I can't stop laughing. That comment above is a priceless, spin-filled, blow-off.
