I SO can't wait to hear Hillary take on Palin!
I would pay real money to see them debate something - anything - mano a mano (or is that mana?) but that isn't going to happen. But But if Obama gets Hillary out speechafying for him about Palin the pukes can't call foul over sexism.

1. She'd better get to it or else I'll never trust her
It's time. If Bill and Hillary don't start standing up for Obama, they might as well join the Republican Party.

2. She's already stated she won't go after Palin, she'll focus on McCain.
and continue to repeast lame lines like "you have so much more in common with Obama than the other option." She'll deliver these lines without passion and we'll forget she ever even said them.

Don't look for Hillary to pull us out of this. Obama needs to go on the attack himself.

6. I agree
It isn't her place to take this on, I just thought it would be a pretty rousing thing to hear, and again, no one could cry that somebody was being mean to little Sarah.

3. I would love it, but I think she's afraid to do it
She's the perfect adversary to tackle Palin, representing every pro-woman policy Palin is against, but she stated publicly last week she only intends to confront McCain in her campaign appearances, so she's holding back for some reason.

Seriously, if Hillary really wants to represent that "new movement" of women the MSM was touting leading up to the convention, she needs to put Palin in her place before the MSM finishes putting her up on a pedestal where she's untouchable ........which they are trying to do.

12. I don't think Hillary is holding back anything
I believe that she is doing what we all should be doing - going after the top of the ticket! McSame is the contender for Pres. - not Palin. Palin is a spicy diversion which we have allowed ourselves to indulge in. We need to point out her extremist positions on Choice, sex education, environment, contraception, etc., but that's all. Don't make her "the issue". McSame is "the issue", as he will likely put Palin in the "back row" if he gets elected - given his record on the treatment of women. Palin has energized the base - that's to be expected. But, she has also energized the dem base, and WE are much bigger than they are! So, let Hillary go after McSame - that's where the emphasis should be!

18. Ordinarily I would agree, but not now
The MSM is trying to make this race close by making Palin out to be more than she really is.

She has become the MSM surrogate for the entire McCain campaign now because they know McCain himself isnt capable of exciting voters.

In this kind of campaign, the WORST thing the Obama campaign can do is to let the MSM and the McCain campaign frame Palin as representative of all women in this election unchallenged.

And even though she lost the nomination, Hillary was so heavily promoted by that same MSM as representing all women she is really the best choice to take Palin on.

10. Hillary has too much class to go after Palin
She has agreed, as has Bill, to stump for Obama. I wouldn't doubt that there may be subtle references to Annie Oakley but I don't think that Hillary would stoop to discuss her with the press or other voters. If you think about it, it would portray her and the Dem Party as pretty shallow for doing it. And for another, it would only raise Palin to Hillary's stature in the world.

Rest assured, Hillary, as well as all intelligent women of voting age, gets that Palin is a puppet with a master. Not a true thinker in her own right. I don't care how much 'education' she receives in her undisclosed location over the next two weeks, short of receiving a full lobotomy, she will remain the pig's ear. (Apologies to pigs everywhere).

11. Yeah, right. Bill and Hillary Clinton were vilified and repudiated by their own party.....
....especially here at DU, and they are expected to come running to bail out the party's nominees? Or else what? You people are really something.

They have already said many times they would do whatever they are asked to help the Democratic Party win the Presidency and the Congress in November.

Hillary Clinton cannot or should not debate Sarah Palin - the Republican nominee for Vice-President as the OP suggests. Hillary is NOT the nominee. That is up to Joe Biden - the Democratic nominee for Vice-President.

17. And he will
But if he eviscerates her as he can and should they will accuse him of beating up on their girl. I just can't see her taking a pummeling like a grown up.

But I would sure rather see Biden criticized for that than to let her get away with tossing snarky barbs and one liners at him.

...in order to try and rile up the die-hard Hillary supporters to not support Obama.

25. She should say the same thing as Boxer...Palin is an extremist
It would be an enormous help, all the media would pick up on it and Charlie Gibson would be forced to ask her why does she think Hillary said this.
