I had given up hope on this one that I sent in over two weeks ago and sent in another one regarding how Obama put his country first by choosing someone qualified to be president versus McW whose choice was based on pandering to the fundamentalists. But they printed the earlier one today:

Media giving McCain a pass

“Hardball” anchor Chris Matthews succinctly described the media’s love affair with John McCain when he said, “We (the media) are his base.”

Thus we are inundated with snippets of Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s sermons, but not John Hagee’s.

While Michelle Obama’s every action and word is parsed and criticized, we never hear about Cindy McCain’s past, which includes stealing drugs from a nonprofit to support her addiction and lying about how many siblings she has.

The media are probably poring over grade school writings of the Obama daughters looking for anti-American sentiments. But there’s no mention of Andrew McCain, who recently resigned for “personal reasons” from the board of a Nevada bank that lost over $100 million. Likewise, we hear nothing about John McCain’s own adventures in the financial world, the Keating Five corruption scandal. Like father, like son?

Although McCain owns so many mansions that he has lost count, Obama is labeled as an elitist.

Despite talking about Czechoslovakia, the Iraq-Afghanistan border and mixing up Shiites and Sunnis, McCain’s foreign policy credentials go unquestioned.

While John Edwards’ extramarital affair was cited as proof that he was unfit to lead, McCain’s affair and subsequent abandonment of his family are taboo topics.

If Obama were taking Ambien to sleep instead of McCain, the press would be screaming about how his judgment would be impaired.

McCain’s Teflon shield seems to cover his entire family and past. The mainstream media should get off their butts and stop kissing McCain’s.
