I just watched 3 and change hours of cable news and all anybody talked about was that her reticence to answer questions makes her unvetted due to her absence of experience. If she remains so, then she's, by default position, assumed to be unqualified. That will be the baseline future-reporting of Palin will be founded upon.

The long knives are being unsheathed by the media...very soon it's going to be speak to the media on their terms or risk the 1000 small cuts of responsible journalism. The third estate has destroyed better individuals than Sarah Palin, waged war writ large against nobler figures.

IMO, BO's best tact is to stay as clear as possible, let things unfold, so that there is a CLEAR disconnect between the reality and how McCain's camp is going to try to want to blame BOs camp for all baggage the moron brought to his ticket by bringing this freakshow on.

(1) his campaign knows that the hype is too big to get on top of right now, and so won't start their public offensive until next week, possibly starting on the Sunday talk shows;
(2) tortoise and hare... he's not worried about Palin, seeing the hype as a blip and knowing that it will subside.
