The Long View
I know that right now we need to all be focused on November and the next eight years. Beyond that though, I have to wonder. I'm into my 60's and may not live to see it, but I wonder what the Palin family is going to look like in 2020? Daughter Bristol still married to Levi? Happily? Has son Trig found a life outside of being an ornament for his mother's beliefs? After John McCain gets drubbed in November does his marriage with Cindy stay intact? How does his adopted daughter do in the long run?

I'm pretty confident of Malia and Sasha, and Chelsea is already well launched. I don't have the same confidence in the Palin offspring. For the leaders of the Family Values chant, it just doesn't look real confidence inspiring.

I'd like to think Bristol et al will have an epiphany sometime in the next few years and escape the influence of their mother and her friends. Good luck to them.
