Is Scott Richter actually Trig Palin's real dad?
The National Enquirer is supposed to be breaking the story of a supposed affair between Sarah Palin and her husband's "business partner." Question here is Scott Richter the "business partner" they're talking about?

There are rumors that Scott Richter is an ex-boyfriend of Sarah's - perhaps before she married Todd.

But here is the funny stuff:

Scott and Debbie Richter work for Todd and Sarah Palin. John Bitney also worked for the Palins.

John Bitney and Debbie Richter have an affair, leaving Scott Richter in the dust.

Todd Palin fires John Bitney over this mess.

John Bitney and Debbie Richter get a Marriage license in 2007.

Debbie Ricter signs at least a couple Quit Claim deeds over to Scott Richter on properties that are co-owned by the Palin's.

Property records: http://www.matsugov.us/myproperty/list.aspx?Choice=owner&searchParm=PALIN+TODD

There are oddities with the birth of Trig:

MatSu hospital doesn't have record of his birth on April 18. Nobody seems to have a birth certificate. Media have been making paternity test requests.

Why was Sarah Palin so reluctant to reveal her pregnancy until the 7th month? Did she fly back to Alaska in labor to have the baby in the small town where she could control the information? Was there information she was trying to hide that might have come out had she birthed the baby in a Texas hospital?

13. Here are some full names
And you can read more about this at: http://2lesbosgoinatit.wordpress.com/2008/09/04/sarah-palin-blog-comments-from-alaska-scott-richter-and-more/

The Palins also have a number of real estate holdings in Big Lake, AK co-owned by Debbie and Scott Richter. The properties are organied as “Richter Investments LLC.” The Richters also own a portion of the Palins residence in Wasila… (Assuming the Palins live rent free right now in the Governors’ Mansion in Juneau).

Interestingly, Debbie Richter was Palin’s campaign treasurer. Richter was awarded a job as the Director of the Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend Division for her service. For those who don’t know, the State of Alaska gives its citizens “free money” checks every year out of this fund. This “free money” comes from oil royalties collected and investments. The Fund is currently worth $35 billion.

Would you choose the Governor’s campaign treasurer - and property co-owner - to honestly hand out oil royalties? Under her leadership in 2006, all Permanent Fund claims from residents (you have to make a claim for your check) were lost in a computer data entry failure…

48. Palin censored reports...
Edited on Fri Sep-05-08 12:11 AM by Born_A_Truman
http://www.juneauempire.com/stories/031807/loc_20070318015.shtml

It was a crisis that few people outside the division heard about at the time. When the Palin administration took office in December of 2006, transition teams began looking at the operation of every state agency and writing reports for the new governor.

Members of the news media, including the Alaska Budget Report, a Juneau-based newsletter covering state government, asked for copies of the reports.

Eventually, the reports were released - minus the explanation of what had happened at the Permanent Fund Division.

(snipped)

"No other governor in my experience has ever kept those reports confidential, and certainly never censored them in the way the Palin administration did," he said.

ETA: Can't type tonight :(

Tears rolling out of my eyes on that one!!

Soap opera, though.

This is a California yacht company, though you will note in another picture description that they sell "internationally." "John and Debbie Richter" is a pretty common name, so I wonder if this pair is our subject couple:

Here's the copy that accompanied the photo:

John and Debbie Richter are pictured here on the day of delivery on their 51 Bluewater. John has already started to figure out ways to upgrade her. Dave Jacobs was the selling agent and says the Richters were a real pleasure to work with, and he know's they will have many hours of fun aboard their new yacht.

Damn, John, didn't you just upgrade "her" a short time ago?

See link at: http://www.bayyachts.net/bayyachts/bayyachts_10.html

I think it would be worth a phone call to see if this couple is from Alaska. If it is, it might be where some of that computer failure money went.

Up until about forty or fifty years ago, it was traditional for the wife (i.e. the chattel :grr: ) to be the only one who wore a ring. It signified she was "owned," after all. Besides, only that kind of man wore jewelry, if you know what I mean. :eyes:

Rumors are that Scott Richter is Sarah's ex-boyfriend, and is Todd's friend.

Scott, Sarah, and Todd own several properties together.

Interesting timing on the birth of Trig Palin: he was born roughly 8 months after Scott's divorce.

35. SWEET, Sweet Irony ....

I just want to say how sweet is the irony of all the Right Wingers clamoring for John Edwards' political end and relishing in his National Enquirer-exposed affair.

Little did they realize that the Edwards Nat.Enq. story and their wallowing in it would create a situation where an Enquirer report of their VP candidate having an affair now carries much more weight in the eyes of the readers.

OOPSY!

38. Some stuff....
--If you look at the MatSu hospital "Nursery Page, they have pictures of the babies born on each day, and their
weight, parents' names, etc. There is no picture or mention of Trig or the Palins giving birth, in that hospital
on that day. Possibly the parents decided not to have the information about Trig's birth published on the site.
However, it's worth mentioning that it's not there.

--Palin didn't reveal the pregnancy to anyone. In fact, I've been reading articles from major Alaskan newspapers,
around the time she announced that she was pregnant (March 9, 2008). According to an article in the "Juneau Empire"
her parents didn't even know that she was pregnant. Bizarre.

--Regarding the delivery. This has been talked about so much, and I find the circumstances suspect--at best, and flat out
lies, at worst. According to the "Juneau Empire" Palin "went into labor" while she was attending a Texas Governor's
Conference on April 18th. http://www.juneauempire.com/stories/042008/sta_270391932.shtml

Palin has later stated that she was not in labor, but that she was leaking amniotic fluid while she was in Texas. She
insists that she was not in labor now. However, Palin arrived in Anchorage after flying in from Texas, at 10:30 p.m.

She then goes to the hospital. Her doctor induces labor and she delivers at 6:30 a.m on Friday morning--eight
hours after landing in Anchorage.

http://64.233.167.104/search?q=cache:gliLfGwRkrUJ:www.adn.com/626/story/382864.html+Sarah+Palin+induce+labor&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=2&gl=us

What I find interesting is that this baby was a month early--but the doctor induced. I'm no doctor, but isn't an
induction done when there is a problem? Like when there is an infection or if the fetus is in distress? Palin
admitted to people that she was "leaking amniotic fluid." The doctor in this article says that patients should
always see their OB if their water breaks or if they are leaking amniotic fluid--and to him leaking and breaking
mean the same thing--and go to the doctor!

If this story is indeed true, then it seems obvious that Palin was in labor in Texas--even though today, she insists
that she wasn't. If she wasn't, then why was her baby born less than 24 hours later in Alaska?

I'm also wondering why the induction was done. Doctors say that there is a risk of infection if you don't go to
the doctor after your water breaks. Did she get an infection sometime during her 10 hours of travel between
Texas and Alaska that day?

Things just don't add up with this. America deserves answers. Maybe the answers are benign and easily
explained, but in my opinion, we don't know the real story.

It's like every minute scandal, after scandal, after scandal erupts and it's ridiculously damaging. It's good, because the Repubs deserve this karma, however I don't know how a person who claims to be normal and "hockey mom" gets into all this. What is her schedule like to have time for this shit.

47. Interesting!
From court records of Debbie and Scott's Divorce:

07/24/2007 Petition for Dissolution of Marriage

Trig Palin was born almost exactly 8 months from this petition!

Coincidence?

50. Maybe the First Dude couldn't have more kids
After 4, many couples decide that's enough kids.

As for the labor induction, I wonder about that myself. Wouldn't the doctor try let him come to full term and put the mother on bed rest?

(Between all the postings that somehow infer I'm going to destroy the Daily Kos itself):

State policy on co-worker relations

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on Sat, 2008-07-26 11:31.

There is no such state policy. Even if there were, Debbie Richter was not Bitney’s co-worker. He worked in the Governor’s Office in the Capitol Building and she works in the Dept. of Revenue in another office building. This was not a matter of any state policy being breached. This is an incident right out of high school–"You’re seeing my ex-girlfriend and me and my gang will get you." The Palins decided to go after Bitney because Scott Richter, Todd’s friend and Sarah’s ex-boyfriend asked them to. Richter is also a business partner with the Palins in investment property in the Mat-Su Valley. The Palins and Scott Richter would not let it go after John Bitney was hired by Rep. Harris. Richter wanted him fired from his new job and the Palins tried to apply pressure to make this happen. They underestimated Rep. Harris who is tough and honorable–qualities foreign to the Palins. This tawdry affair should sicken Alaskans who care about their State. We elected an individual with no moral compass, no education, no background, no experience, just a blinding need to be the most popular girl in school. "Cute" can only take you so far then the veneer starts to peel.

I saw an odd post on a message thread that alleged MULTIPLE affairs, but it's extremely unsubstantiated.

85. Will the fundies still support her if this is true?
They don't care about their hypocrisy regarding teen pregnancy, but having an affair and a child resulting from that dalliance should make them drop her immediately. If this was a Democrat, they would even probably say that the child having Downs Syndrome was probably God's punishment for her sins.
