I just noticed on the front page here at DU, especially as a result of General Discussion: Palin,
that 35 out of the 57 threads either referred to Palin in the headline or the thread was about her. Have either Obama or McCain done anything this past week that is worth discussing? It would be nice to have some Obama sprinkled in my huge bowl of Palin here at DU.

1. Best to let them dig their grave on their own,
and come out swinging when the time is right. No need to try to overshadow them when the news coverage won't be fair anyway.

4. I talking about right here at DU, our own personal Democratic space.
Does so much of what we have to discuss here have to be about Palin since so little of it is new and simply repeats what has been said before? I would like to hear some more about Obama right now. I am betting that even after today will will still see our front page full of Palin.

2. Plenty to talk about Obama on after his O'Liely appearance tonight.

3. No, they haven't really.
That's because, traditionally, the other party backs off while a convention is on. Obama is respecting that. Come Friday, the game will be on.

As for McCain, he's not done jack shit and Palin's shadow is huge. Who exactly is running for President here? Grampy or Gidget? Form last night it looks a lot like Gidget is in the driver seat. McCain's picked a monster and he can't control her. Obviously, from last night's displays, Palin wears the pants in that relationship. McCain is going to have to work really hard to come out of her shadow, but can he keep his nap schedule while doing that?

5. Has it been a week yet..
since we had this character dropped on us like a bomb? Even before the Sarah Storm, Obama and Biden on the campaign trail didn't garner much attention. At least not as much as what is being said on the television.
