Republican beliefs I don't understand???
They want the Bible when it comes to social issues (of course THEIR interpretation of the Bible is laughable), but when it comes to money they completely ignore the Bible (God set up many rules about debt forgiveness, land redistribution, shared wealth)

Every life has value!! Then why do they believe in the death penalty and are quick to go to war

Democrats are big government! Then why are they all up in our business when it comes to social issues wanting to dictate who we marry, what we do with our body, make us live by their brand of Christianity, and tap our phones???

1. Ah, that cognitive dissonance. The oppressor parties couldn't operate without it.

2. A handy reference:
Top ten signs that you are a fundamentalist:
http://www.craigslist.org/about/best/phx/167335230.html

Here's the first three

10 - You vigorously deny the existence of thousands of gods claimed by other religions, but feel outraged when someone denies the existence of yours.

9 - You feel insulted and "dehumanized" when scientists say that people evolved from other life forms, but you have no problem with the Biblical claim that we were created from dirt.

8 - You laugh at polytheists, but you have no problem believing in a Triune God.

How true, how true.

3. well I'm a Christian myself
but I want to tell those fundies geesh, stay out of *my* Christian beliefs because Christianity is huge and there are many different forms, and I don't want to be forced to live by THEIR interpretation.

Second I don't like the hypocrisy.

They contradict themselves constantly

and also even though I am Christian not everyone in America is..we are a melting pot. Not everyone is a white Christian. Therefore all of our laws should protect everyone.

If I am Christian and I understand this.. why don't the lunatic fringe???

and darnit why aren't there more Christian liberals?? You know a good book to read from some Christian liberals is "Jesus for President" it's a good book and brings up good points (very liberal)
