Can you stand a delayed reaction to Obama's Acceptance Speech?
I finally had the opportunity to finish watching Obama's speech and must admit I spent much of it in tears. This man wasn't just speaking to me, he was speaking about me, and he was speaking for me. Obama absolutely MUST become the next President of the United States. Off to go volunteer for his campaign in my county.

Cheers!

1. It was an amazing moment in our history.
I was so overwhelmingly proud and happy. I cried through most of it. Hell, I cried through most of the convention. It's been such a long eight years.

5. The campaign should have made DVDs of that speech and a few others and started passing them out on
street corners, like leaflets. That was one AMAZING convention. Many did not watch it. And the talking heads ignored a lot of the speeches anyway.

7. My sister cut the names out and gave a copy to my Republican by habit brother-in-law.
Not a damned thing he could disagree with.

9. I recorded it
and watch it when I get down or depressed. Mark my word, it will become known as "The Speech".

10. I asked my daughter and her bf and friends to watch it and
wasn't expecting them to really do so as they are not so politically motivated as mom here is. Plus the fact that we are not americans I didn't think they'd really follow through and thot they'd be playing Halo instead with that free time.

but they did watch it, and some of the comments and reactions were precious - at how impressed they all were with him and how disgusted they were with McCain-since they are now actually looking at him in contrast to Obama.

Spent a lot of time Sunday dinner talking about him and the speech - I was so pleased to see them excited.
