6. JSM III did that too. When Palin mentioned HRC-- he clapped three times
kind of hesitantly. Collegially in the Senate they clap for one another. But whoops, we're enemies so I'd better stop I guess.

Another time also -- clap clap.

9. No surprise there. Lieberman and Clintons were on the same page with Bush from 2001 thru 2006 and

Clintons only moved their rhetoric leftward after Lieberman lost his primary race and right before Hillary started her primary campaign. Hey, remember....Bill claimed he was ALWAYS against the Iraq war right from the beginning? Funny....then who was that other Bill Clinton advising Tony Blair and DC Dems to support Bush on Iraq and was it another Bill Clinton who used his summer2004 book tour to not just support Bush publicly but also defended him vigorously against the criticisms of his terrorism and Iraq war strategies as targeted by our 2004 Dem nominee?

10. This convention has been quite surreal
Edited on Wed Sep-03-08 09:34 AM by mohc
They are basically trying to run against themselves, while pretending not to. One of my favorite moments from Obama's speech last Thursday was when he talked about the need for the Republicans to own their failure over the past 8 years. The Republicans at this convention are well aware of how bad the situation is, but they are acting as if they had nothing to do with it in an attempt to claim they are the best ones to help fix things. The worst part is the media is not calling them on it. I just want someone, anyone, to ask them: "Why should America vote for a Republican ticket to fix a disaster caused by the Republicans themselves?"

11. That's what I was thinking last while watching
an hour of the GOP convention.

They want to "fix the broken government"

WELL---

who in the hell broke it in the first place?

Georgie and his BushCO empire,

who these whiz kids VOTED for!

:eyes:

perhaps admitting they made the mistake of the century
by voting for him would help- but it's not gonna happen.
